So much to fill you in on!

Where to begin? I started today with that head fog that comes with having SO much to do but not knowing how to do it..Post office, printers, office supply shop, broach making, designing, photography, hoovering, cleaning, gardening, blogging, Etsy listings........ (I think you get the idea)?!  Then over my morning coffee I came across this blog post over at Flax and twine which helped me get organised..Thanks Anne!

Two great blogs that I follow are up for the 'Top Creative Mom's' blog award.. If you could go over and take a look that would be amazing! They are Anne of the Flax and twine blog and Denise Of Inkstitch, both blogs worth reading :-)

Also I recently took part in two art swaps, I swapped my red horse print for this cute bird anklet made by Stacie. The anklet is much more delicate than I thought it would be and I really like it, I just need some warm weather now so I can get my flip flops on and start wearing it! I also did a swap with Vesna of the lovely blog and Etsy shop Objemi drevo/ Cherry time. I swapped my Grandads camera print and my Turquoise Singer sewing machine print for two of her beautiful crochet coat hangers, love love love them!

Devon, swaps and Etsy

Happy Thursday people!

I have been away for a few days, a few longer than expected actually. I went to Devon to see friends and family and it was a bit of a whirl wind tour but it was lovely. I am happy to be back though and am currently catching up with bits and bobs at home. I wanted to share these photos with you that I took whilst away in Devon, I guess you could say these show some of the reasons I love going back there..

 Visiting friends who have amazing retro taste in furniture!

 and who pot plants in milk jugs..

and teapots..

 and have beautiful cats.... (She's sweeter than she looks)!

I also like visiting friends who live on farms, who take me to see tiny piglets..

and cuddling up with one of my mums cats, this is Otto, he's a Siamese cat and by far the cuddliest, sweetest cat ever. So I've had a great countryside filled few days and now I''m back in the city and looking forward to seeing what you've all been up to and getting on with some more art work myself.

One thing I have done since I've been home is to take some more pictures for my Etsy site and package up a print to send off to Tami of the 'Ah, Bliss' blog. I have done a swap with Tami and she is having my sewing machine print and I have been very lucky to receive one of her Typewriter prints, I love this typewriter print and can't wait to have it up on the wall in my new house!

I'm trying really hard to create more interesting photos for Etsy, what do you think? I hope I'm slowly getting there!

September news

This past week I have been super lucky to have been mentioned on the beautiful design and lifestyle blog by British blogger Kerry called 'The seventy tree',  thanks so much Kerry!

I am also participating in an art swap with the talented artist Vesna of 'My cherry tree' she is having my 'listen to the birds' print and I am receiving  one of her beautiful bird broaches.. I'm so excited! I love doing art swaps! If anyone else out there fancies doing an art swap then you can email me via my website contact page.

So I am smiling from ear to ear at the moment, although I am exhausted from my new job, getting by on caffeine only tonight! It's a beautiful autumn day here in Bristol, and today I have been admiring all the colours of nature. I am so fortunate that even though I live right in the city I work in a rural location and get to spend time in beautiful gardens and even on a farm (I dug up carrots in the vegetable field today with the children)! I plan to take some photographs of the sights at my place of work and I will share them with you when I do. I am so inspired by the colour combinations that I see in nature, today one of my favorite combination's was a gray blue sky and deep red leaves..
