Hi all, well I've just spent a lovely 2 days at the seaside town of Falmouth UK. The sun was shining it was hot and the beach was heavenly :-) I went to visit two close friends and had some much needed girls only time! Take a look at the beach, pretty good for the UK I think! For the pattern lovers out there check out my friends beautiful skirt, an ebay find, I LOVE the fresh summery feel to it. It was so nice to be by the sea and I didn't want to leave...
But I did, and tonight I finished off some crab drawings that I started last week and I put together this fun pattern.
Funny little creatures! I want to do some more crab patterns, maybe some happy colorful crabs and then some crabby not so colorful crabs!
On another note I also wanted to say hello and thank you to the new folk who have been visiting my blog. I always appreciate comments and I love 'meeting' other creative people. I'm really enjoying exploring the blogs out there and seeing the amazing art and design work that many of the visitors to this blog create.
So hello and Thanks for visiting :-)
I'm going to go and dream of the seaside now, take care and night night.

Lovely gift in the post..
So a few days ago I was rushing out the door for work, not in the best of moods and then.... I found a parcel by the front door from Tami of 'ah,Bliss'....! Cheered me up and my walk to work was much happier :-) Tami sent me one of her Starfish illustrations. It is my favorite out of all the ones she's made so far so I'm very lucky to have it!
THANK YOU TAMI!
Tami's work can be found here at her blog 'ah, bliss' or here at her other blog 'Tami Cohen Illustration & Design'. The photo here is rather blurry and doesn't do credit to Tami's lovely work, so you can view it properly here.
I hope you are all having a good weekend, It's cloudy in Bristol town today but I'm going to see the comedian Bill Bailey tonight which I'm very excited about! If you haven't heard of him check him out, so so funny! Bye for now :-)

Postcards and mini cards
I ordered some postcards of my artwork and also some 'mini cards' from moo.com recently and they arrived today! 'Mini cards' are just that, mini business cards. They were smaller than I thought they'd be and I don't think they'd be a substitute for normal business cards but they definitely work for other things...such as putting in with greeting cards or artwork...They're a lot cheaper then normal business cards so I wouldn't worry about putting one in with everything sold. I'm really happy with the quality of the printing too. Anyone else use mini cards? What do you think, would you use them instead of normal cards? here's some pictures:

Where have I been?!
Hi all :-)
This is just a quick post to say that I am still alive although I haven't posted much lately. I have been so very busy organising my website and Etsy shop. I also have maths exams coming up in a week so it's full steam ahead with revision (yuk)! I also started a new job (non arty) so that's been a big thing consuming my brain for the past 3 weeks.....Oh and I've been away in Cornwall UK for a wedding which was beautiful! I'm itching to get back to some illustration and pattern designs. My illustration really needs some work, I got this book 'Breaking into Freelance Illustration' a few months ago and it's full of exciting briefs to set yourself and I can't wait to get on with that. So much to do!
Check out these cakes that were at the wedding, they were made of lavender, rose and blackberry ...mmmmmmmmm! They were made by a one person company called 'The Sticky Tin'. It's amazing what one person can do right?!
